16 September 2020 – Kylie Cochrane, Managing Principal, Communication and Stakeholder Engagement, Australia & New Zealand at engineering, design and advisory company Aurecon has been appointed to the position of Design Director, the first non-engineer to join the select group.

Kylie is the International Chair of the International Association of Public Participation (IAP2), the global professional association for the consultation and engagement industry. She sits on both the Australasian and International IAP2 Boards.
Kylie is a respected thought leader, publishing on issues such as the importance of co-design in the and the power of community engagement in infrastructure development, inspired by her keynote presentation at the conference held by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) on the challenges and opportunities posed by the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
